Thomas Wines 2014 Kiss Shiraz
A Hunter Valley benchmark from 2014, one of the best vintages on record. It is an individual vineyard Hunter Valley Shiraz, grown on the tough clay/loam soils of the Pokolbin Estate vineyard (planted 1969). These naturally low cropping vines consistently produce fruit with exceptional depth and concentration. This is the benchmark Shiraz for Thomas Wines, expressing very the best qualities of each vintage. The first vintage of Kiss Shiraz was in 2001, and since that time, each vintage has received countless wine show awards and accolades.
The wine is highly perfumed, full bodied and utterly seamless. A delightfully deep and vibrant purple hue. Medium bodied in weight, but flush with concentrated red and blue fruits, savoury spice and a long, satiny tannin structure which encapsulates the wine in its entirety.
As would be expected of this flagship wine, it can be enjoyed now, or confidently cellared for 10 – 20 years.
