Silkman won Best Chardonnay in Australia for their 2014 Reserve in the Halliday Chardonnay Challenge and this vintage follows on beautifully. Very much in the contemporary style of Hunter Chardonnay; elegant, restrained French oak, lean mineral fruit characters, persistence of flavour.
A single vineyard wine that is elegant and beautifully crafted with a judicious use of French oak. Incredibly youthful and like a flower that is still yet to fully open, this wine could easily cellar for another five years.
Made by Ollie Margan, the Breaking Ground range was developed to place emphasis on echoing the soils in which they were grown.
A beautiful, lighter style of Chardonnay from winemakers Damien and Jodie. Packed with florals, white spice and dried herbs on the nose. On the palate it is an unctuous, totally textural wine, with almonds and butterscotch and an underlying lovely citrus line of acidity.
From the outstanding 2019 vintage, this wine is pale gold in colour with youthful green tinges. The aroma is fresh and intense with lime citrus and background of ripe peach fruit characters. The palate is clean and lively with a soft but crisp citrus acid finish. Enjoy with Asian cuisine, Mediterranean pasta, salad.
