Mercer 2021 Vermentino Bianco
Lingering, textured and intensely aromatic, this wine has plenty of crunch and energy with a tangy citrus flavour.
Grown on the Roxburgh vineyard in the Upper Hunter Valley, this Italian varietal represents a sustainable growing future. It is naturally high in acid and the cooler 2021 season makes this a bright, textural delight that will be perfect for the warmer months ahead.
Winefront Review:
Very good Vermentino here. White flowers, sea spray, lemon zest and grapefruit. Some flesh and glycerol feel to texture, but bright with tangy citrus flavour and acidity. Plenty of crunch and energy, and a fine dusty texture rolling out on a brine and ripe grapefruity finish of good length. Nicely done. Rated 93 Points
