Originally an experimental field blend this is now a regular in the Little Wine Co stable. Grown side by side the Shiraz (88%) and Tempranillo (12%) were co-harvested and co-fermented. Vibrant dark berry fruit and a smooth palate make this a delicious, easy-drinking style.
Made by Ollie Margan, the Breaking Ground range was developed to place emphasis on echoing the soils in which they were grown. An energetic, and bright Hunter Shiraz, a modern and fresh take on a regional classic.
White pepper and lifted violet notes lead into a palate of rich, juicy red fruits with bright crunchy acidity. Fine grained, silky tannins provide great structure and length supported by clove and aniseed oak spice notes.
This Single Vineyard ‘Tallavera’ Shiraz comes from its namesake vineyard in the Mount View area of the lower Hunter Valley. A complex mix of spice and ripe mulberry fruit, the palate is medium bodied and fruit driven displaying savoury berry fruit balanced by fine tannins providing great texture and a classically elegant finish.
The flagship of Carillion Wines, this beautiful wine has a rich and complex palate of red and black fruits derived from maturation in French oak puncheons. Medium bodied yet intense, this Shiraz is approachable on release and will continue to reward with extended cellaring.
The 2018 Old Vines is a single vineyard wine that is sumptuous and stylistically different to most Shiraz in the Valley. It is medium bodied, super elegant, fruit driven and bright cherry red in the glass.
