This Vermentino has wonderful aromas of jasmine, white nectarine and a touch of warm spice. The palate is full bodied with flavours of pear and a crisp minerality. The ultimate food wine.
This block is normally blended with Shiraz but in 2017 the juice was so delicious Ian & Suzanne decided to release a small volume under their Little Gem label. Made in a beautifully crisp, zippy style this is simply a lovely drink.
A progressive and elegant style of Hunter Valley Chardonnay. Aromas of melon and preserved citrus peel are layered with toasty oak to complete the nose. The palate is long and restrained with notes of citrus and creamy mouth feel delivering a wine with great persistence and body.
Suzanne Little was previously winemaker for Rosemount Estate where she was responsible for their range of premium Chardonnay. Her aim with the Little Gem is to make an approachable Chardonnay that is balanced and delicious.
This chardonnay is picked early to retain natural acidity and citrus flavours. Unique structure, blended with a small portion of unoaked wine to increase the fresh lifted fruit on the palate. The result of a 5 year discovery of Hunter Valley Chardonnay.
Silkman won Best Chardonnay in Australia for their 2014 Reserve in the Halliday Chardonnay Challenge and this vintage follows on beautifully. Very much in the contemporary style of Hunter Chardonnay; elegant, restrained French oak, lean mineral fruit characters, persistence of flavour.
